Atcults is hiring a Technical Artist (3D, VR & Interactive Media) to create real-time 3D environments, VR/AR training simulations, and interactive media assets for our security training and threat-visualisation platform β bringing cybersecurity training and threat visualisation to life through immersive digital experiences.
Must Have
- Proven experience designing and building real-time 3D environments and interactive scenes for VR/AR applications or game engine pipelines (Unity / Unreal Engine).
- Hands-on proficiency with industry-standard DCC tools β Autodesk Maya, Blender, or 3ds Max β for modelling, texturing, rigging, and animation.
- Solid understanding of digital asset pipeline management: naming conventions, version control, file organisation, and delivery standards.
- Ability to design and implement lighting schemes, material systems, and post-processing pipelines to achieve production-ready digital output.
- Experience reviewing and optimising 3D assets for target hardware performance while maintaining visual quality within defined technical budgets.
- Strong skills in producing motion graphics, visual effects, and interactive UI elements across multiple platforms.
- Ability to collaborate across disciplines β working directly with interactive media directors, software developers, and UI/UX designers to translate briefs into polished deliverables.
- 3+ years of experience in 3D production, technical art, or a closely related field (studio, games, interactive media, or simulation).
- Comfortable working fully remotely with self-managed delivery, asynchronous communication, and reliable availability during IST business hours.
Good to Have
- Experience producing assets specifically for VR/AR training or simulation applications.
- Knowledge of real-time rendering principles β PBR materials, LOD optimisation, draw call budgets, shader development.
- Background in production coordination or pipeline supervision in an animation, VFX, or game studio environment.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects) for supplementary design and motion graphics tasks.
- Experience contributing to or maintaining visual style guides and design standards documentation.
- Background in UI/UX design β wireframing, interaction design, or designing for interactive digital products.
- Post-secondary training or certification in 3D animation, digital filmmaking, or interactive media.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop real-time 3D environments, interactive scenes, and immersive experiences for VR/AR-based training and simulation on the Atcults platform.
- Create, texture, rig, and animate 3D character models, objects, and environments using DCC tools and game engines.
- Produce and manage digital assets β 3D models, motion graphics, visual effects, and interactive UI elements β across multiple platforms.
- Build and maintain structured digital asset pipelines including naming conventions, version control, and delivery standards.
- Collaborate with media directors, developers, and UI/UX designers to translate creative briefs and technical specifications into polished outputs.
- Review and optimise assets for performance on target hardware while preserving visual quality within defined technical budgets.
- Contribute to visual style guides, design standards, and production workflow documentation.
- Meet all project milestones and delivery schedules as communicated by the reporting manager.
